High and Low Season in Cusco

In Cusco there are only two seasons in particular: rainy and dry. The rainy season is usually strongest from October to March. If the rain is not an impediment or annoyance for you, you can choose to visit the city during these months.

But if you want to find a bright sun from very early and almost no rain, the best time is between June and October.

It should be noted that from June to August is the high season, where you will obviously find the tickets, hotels, reservations, among other things, with prices much higher. In addition, you will have to book accommodation or excursions well in advance.

A good option may be to visit Cusco between April and May, just after the rainy season but before the high season begins. And the weather too it will be nice and warm.

In the end, it all depends on your tastes. But there are more tourists who prefer dry and sunny weather, especially to take good pictures of ancient places, such as Machu Picchu.
